LSD Options for 1990 D250 W/3.07 Gears

Postby JeffTheMarine » Thu May 22, 2014 6:56 pm

I am interested in adding a LSD to my rear axle. I have a 1990 D250. From the information that I have I am assuming that I have a Dana 70-2U. I have read that the carrier is different for the axles with 3.07 gears which is what I have. So I am looking for a LSD that will work with this rear end. Thanks in advance for the help

The 3:07 axle uses the same carrier as a 3:54/4:10. Just make sure on the spline count of your axles. These L/S can be found in 35 or 32 spline. Yours is most likely a 35 spline. But pull an axle to make sure.

If it has 3.07s it's a Dana 71. There are some minor machining differences to fit the 3.07s . I don't know about the carrier though.
