Brake rotor design

Postby ellis93 » Mon Sep 29, 2014 2:00 pm

Which is it.....bolt on adapter or one piece rotor/hub assembly? I can't find a one piece hub/rotor,all I can find is the rotor that attaches to the separate hub.
If it's the adapter I need, will the 4x4 adapter work?

Converting your d250? Iirc its a bolt on adapter. The 4x4 one wont work due to the locking hubs being way different than the 2wd bearings since they fit on a way smaller spindle.

Planning on it,got a rear axle coming out of an 06 3500 this week to be replaced with a used one. Figure on using it after a rebuild, either it or one of the two 2nd gen axles I have.

I'm coming up short on the adapters tho. I figure that's what it was, that's what I've been lead to believe, but wasn't sure. I looked on O'Reilly's,autozone, and rock auto, and didn't see a one piece rotor....not even as far back as 82. So I kinda figured

Don't have any do you? :)
