On a W250 truck it doesn't really have a proportioning valve. Are you making reference to the aluminum junction block just off the MC?

W250's do have a prop valve, it's a giant, cast iron thing tucked down inside the driver's framerail. Never seen an aftermarket replacment though.

They say if you hit your brakes and a little tit sticks out the end of it, it's functioning correctly and probably not your problem.

I recently put an inline adjuster to my rear brakes (Summit Racing SUM-G3905)and have my fronts hosed direct to the MC, stops damn good. For my RC I bought a full system setup similar to stock(Wilwood 260-11179), but still adjustable. Hope to try it out sooner than later. The Sodge is still drums in the rear, RC is disc.

NON-IC trucks have it on the frame, the IC trucks have it located by the master cylinder. That tit looking thing is actually a switch, as the valve assembly/piston in the body moves back and forth as the brakes are applied and released. When there is a loss of brake pressure, the piston will move enough to trip the switch, turning the brake warning light on.

If I had to replace mine, I'd do as Tacoclaw did and run the rear on an adjustable unit, so you can fine tune the brakes to how you like ;)

Found one at a dealer in the bay area, should be here Monday, hopefully that cures it so I can start driving it again after 5 long months and show off the fancy schmancy new paint job !
