Wheel stud p/n?

Postby bmoeller » Sun Nov 30, 2014 9:05 am

I know its been brought up before, but haven't found it doing a search. :?

Need a part number for the studs, so I replace all the wheel studs on my 93 and also on the front of the crew cab. Wanting to convert them all over to 9/16" studs, like the 2nd gens are.

Crew cab has a Dana 80 under and want the fronts to match. Plus, with the mag style nuts on the alum dually rims, the 9/16 stud will allow for a thinker shank on the nuts. Less change of damage. Already had one idiot damage a few of the 5/8" nuts and threads, using a friggin impact wrench putting them on! Specifically asked to have the guy use a torque wrench. NOPE!

TIA!

Easy way? Find a set of GM D60 DRW hubs.

Here's the problem, the front studs (5/8") on your 93 have a knurl diameter of 0.715"/0.724", the 9/16" studs have a knurl diameter of 0.650. Won't fit. The GM DRW hubs have smaller stud holes, of the proper 0.650" diameter.

Extra long 9/16" studs...(knurl diameter is the same 0.65-ish)

Hope this helps!
