D70 master rebuild kit

Postby Farmboy » Wed Dec 17, 2014 10:10 am

I am going to be swapping from D70 SRW to D70 DRW. the DRW axle is empty except the axle shafts to the drums.. that is all complete. I am going to take the carrier assembly, ring and pinion from my SRW axle. So while I have it apart I am going to replace all the bearings and seals.

anybody have a part number for the rebuild kit?

Was looking at Rockauto.com and they have a ton of different kits, I just want to make sure I get the right one.

Need one with all the bearings, seals, crush sleeve, pinion nut, shims, etc...

While I would like Timken bearings. A reliable cheaper bearing would be preferred.. Trying to keep cost down as much as possible. yeah I am as cheap as everyone else one here..

how about this.. anybody at least know if the D70 has a 9.25 ring gear? If not, this kit is not the right one.

Here, dig around in this. There's a couple links in it that will take you to Spicer's page, you can get their #'s and go from there.

if you are in need I am sure we can work something out. Will probably be selling the whole axle or parting it out or something along those lines.. Nice thing is your are close..
