Adjustable Proportioning Valve

Postby josh_6bt » Fri Apr 03, 2015 8:37 am

Hey guys. I recently swapped a dana 80 with discs into my w250 and I bought an aftermarket Proportioning valve. I have deleted my RAWL and my wondering where do I plumb in my new PV? What is the aluminum junction block below the MC? Do I tap into the rear line under that?

The aluminum block under the master is the original proportioning valve.

Yup, you completely remove the factory piece and plumb in the aftermarket in its place.

Isn't the brake light switch part of the original valve? Would an aftermarket PV have a place to put the brake light switch? Anyone have a part number for the PV they used?

Stop light switch? No. Prake pressure switch? Yes.

The stop light switch is mounted above the brake pedal. The switch you are taking about is for the brake light on the dash, it'll come on if pressure is reduced.

Gotcha. That's kind of what I thought, but I saw a wire going to the PV and wasn't exactly sure what the switch was. Thanks a bunch.
