Steering stem

Postby Promod631 » Mon Sep 14, 2015 6:09 pm

A buddy told me about this aftermarket steering stem that has a kink in the middle so in a crash it doesn't come through the truck and through my head. Instead it will just break in the middle. Is this true. And is it worth to upgrade?

Ike is correct. The shaft has a plastic connector in the middle and the outer shell has that screen looking section under the dash. Not worth it in my opinion, these trucks are designed to be a certain way and safe in a crash, not worth worrying about IMO.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.
