Thinking about dynapro ATM's for my next set, AT3's blow. Who's got wisdom for me.

What makes you say the AT3's "blow"?

I've been extremely happy with Duratracs.

Dad runs em on his Duramax, he likes them. Been holding up well, wearing good, especially for a cheaper tire. He used to run Discoverer AT's, but when they changed to the AT3 pattern, he wasn't impressed

Thanks for the responses ya'll. I was thinking about duratracs before the dynapro, but ill have to get wheels at the same time and funds won't allow the duratracs yet. My front end issues are the main cause of my at3's boogering, but 3 of my close friends have at3's and they are all cupping/feathering and wearing unevenly.

By the way, would a 17 x 7" wheel accommodate a 255 tire without bloating too bad?

Well the time for tires and wheels is here. Pretty sure I'm going with 265/75r16 dynapro's. I would like to go the aluminum route. Any preferable brands for 16" aluminum bullet holes? I really liked BC's old wheels. Thanks y'all

Genuine Alcoa's.

BC had Center Line's, and Weld also used to make something very similar, but I believe they are discontinued.

FYI, the electrical utility that I work for used to run Hankook's, but we have switched to Cooper S/T MAXX's lately and have had very good results. Insanely quiet for the aggressiveness. Plus the triple ply sidewall helps out too.

Unsure of the make, center caps say Eagle Alloy.

Thanks guys. Those look sharp dodgefreak, ill look into them. I'd flip if I could score alcoa's, their upper end of the spectrum right?

What's the back spacing and offset and what is it on the stock steelies? I'm trying to keep the tires under the wheel wells and not rub hopefully......

Df, those look identical to the Core Racing wheels on my 96, although the pic a little fuzzy on my phone.

DodgeFreak, those are for sure Eagle 589's/058's. Years ago when I worked in the tire industry, we sold those things by the hundreds...even bought a set myself for my 92 Chevy K2500.

Spencerdiesel, I've seen nice used Alcoa's in my area for around $400-500...not the Ford ones either...still having the Alcoa badge on them. Our OE wheels have about 4" of back spacing on them. Anything more than 4.5" hits the calipers.

No, that one went on auction and dad and the farmer that rents off him went in on halves. I think they bought it for 1500 and it needed the frame behind the rear axle welded up. It will need the floor redone sometime but it pulls really nice and can handle the weight better that dads "car" trailer.

Well, that's good that the utility you work for will get rid of equipment that needs repairs like that, our management will just throw money at it like you wouldn't believe. We had one sent out identical to that one, (against my will and say-so as I try and keep stuff from vendors for job security and reduce final repair cost) that needed all new suspension, brakes, and a half a dozen cross members replaced from rot...ended up costing over $7000 in repairs...a little more would've bought a new trailer to our spec's.

Not one day since my last post I've had to work less than 13 hrs.......I found 10 mins of 1st gen solitude tonight so I'm running with it!

Thanks for the back spacing info, should I have a certain offset in mind? I would just pop off a wheel but all my vehicular related aresenal is at school.....that is locked down like knox :D

I'd love 255/85/16, but was just going to settle with the 265s as they were close as I could get with the dynapro.....what sayeth they on the famous toyo m55? It's available in 255/85, and I've heard nothing but ruggedness about it. In the mid $2xx per unit though.

Lastly, any experience/advice on Ultra wheels? I love the 164 style........still rather have those alcoa's y'all tell me bout though

Thanks, again
