OEM rim offset and back spacing

Postby Fourtrax250r » Sun Jan 17, 2016 11:13 am

Hi everyone I just found this forum and I'm very excited for all the information that is available for my 1988 w250 4x4. My question is does anyone know the OEM back spacing and offset of the stock rims? From the 88 W250?? Thank you!!

Off set and back space ore one in the same. It is zero.
RIP 91.5 W250 5 speed. The great experiment.

Not exactly...

Offset is the distance from the center of a wheel to its mounting face.

Backspace is the distance from the inside edge of a wheel to the mounting face.

There are many things online explaining the difference...

The factory wheels have about 4" of back spacing.
