1989 Dodge W100....Windshield Wiper Linkage repair

Postby hokietiger » Wed Sep 14, 2016 12:32 pm

Hey gang,

I have a 1989 Dodge W100 Power Ram...5.2L V8...Auto trans.

The BUSHINGS on the WINDSHIELD WIPER LINKAGE have dry rotted and fallen off, thus causing the linkage arms to become disassembled and non-functional.

I have the new bushings but was wondering if anybody out there has any tips/tricks/recommendations on installation of the new bushings ??....Any help is greatly appreciated !!

I shoot em with silicone spay and press the new bushing it to the linkage. Then press the pin into the bushing. There are 4 of them and its better to do them all while you have the linkage out. make sure you put the 2 links back together the way they came apart or they will not fit back in place.
