My steering seems tight (the wheels turn when the wheel turns) but the column itself flops and wobbles all over.

Does anybody know how to fix this?

Does the video work?

Video works, and a fat man like me has been playing tug o war sliding their ass into the truck. I have only ever fixed one steering column and it was a ford. It was less then a good time. Can't help you on that one, never been there.

After I spent a few hours disassembling the old column and seeing broken stuff inside I said "ah hell no" and bought a rebuilt column from Column's Galore for around $500.
