Am I missing something??????

Postby garywj » Wed Feb 13, 2008 11:56 am

I decided to put on new front disks, and the rotors NAPA gave me don't even come close. My rotors, wheel studs, and outer axle tube all seem to be one solid assembly all the way out to the hub. NAPA told me when I tried to return the new rotors, that I needed to have the old rotor assembly pressed apart, and the new rotors pressed on. Is this right?

I thing you need to knock all the stud out to separate the hub from the rotors and then you have to beat then back in with the new rotor........I think? :? its been awhile.

Sounds like you need to employ the BFH tactic!

Knock the studs out and the rotor and hub should come apart pretty easily
