What parts stores are you looking at? I just got wheel bearings and they listed them as 4500#. I guess it really doesn't matter, just get the highest of whatever they have options for. What its really asking is whether you have a Dana 44 axle or a Dana 60 axle. All Cummins came with Dana 60's, and Dodge never used anything larger than a D60 in their 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks.

Yes the races are pressed in the hub housing. Just check them to make sure they aren't scored, as long as they are smooth I wouldn't mess with them. There are two bearings in there, a little one and a big one. My little one came with the race, but the big one didn't... I don't know why. They were Timkens from Auto Zone.
