skyjacker lift kit???

Postby hassy21 » Tue Jun 10, 2008 12:49 am

just ordered my 6 in lift kit from 4 wheel parts and was wondering if anybody has one on now? Did you run into any problems when installing and/or after the kit was on? I didnt get the rear springs just the blocks for now. What do you think of the kit when 4 wheeling if done any?

oldcool90 has a 6" skyjacker on his truck. If he doesn't drop in send him a PM.

I put a 4" Skyjacker on my last 93. For the money I didn't have any complaints. I just had the add-a-leafs in the rear. Your 90 model comes factory with a shorter block. What size block did the kit come with. Hopefully its not a stack on block. If you don't do any towing, you would probably benefit from a shackle flip in the rear and stock springs without any blocks. It softens the ride up a bit, but doesn't tow quite as well.

i just have the extra block but dont plan on towing much. How big of a difference in towing is it when you flip the shackle. How much lift is that? I plan on trying to get a few more inches later on. How hard is the shackle flip? Im gonna be working on it this saturday.

just finished putting my lift kit on and am pretty satisfied in the way the truck looks just now i figured out that i need the adjustable drag link. It only turns about 2 turns to the left and about 5 to the right. Do are trucks come with one stock or will i have to buy an aftermarket one? My truck towers over my little 33"s now.
