I put some 3rd Gen wheels on my 1993 w250. What do you think ?

Looks good. Now you should get out a Dremmel tool and make some open covers for the front.

I'm still here

I've just been busy with work but I have found time to install a water/meth setup, 3rd gen wheels, bought the tools to set timing right. Getting ready to try the dyno again in a couple of weeks. I also got everything to put twins on just haven't done it.

How difficult is it to install 3rd gen wheels on a 1st gen truck and what size tires are you running?

What all is involved in doing this? 9/16 studs? spacers?

What is involved in doing this? I thought it was bolt on. I might be buying some 3rd gen tires today but if they aren't bolt on I think that I'll give the guy a call and say no thanks. :shock:

I wouldn't want to have to do that to the poor feller, so is this bolt on or not?

This is not a bolt on deal ! I used 2" wheel spacers and changed my wheel studs to 9/16.

2" wheel spacers?? why so thick just to mount the rims? what causes a fit the fronts?

The fronts hit. You could get away with 1.5" but I found a deal on the 2". The backspacing on the 3rd gen wheel is alot different.
