low rider 1993 d250

Im jealous....most of the D250's I see. 1991-1993 (like mine)...are wheelers.

Mine aint...its a club cab 2w.

they all are "higher"...and ride level...the front end is at least 12 " higher than mine....and mine has always leaned forward...the back is higher than the front.

AT one time I visited a suspension shop and they said...ya can't lift the front on a 2w d250 with the diesel....they aint designed for lift.

live with it ...was the bottom line.

Are those guys wrong? can I lift the front without screwing up the trucks suspension or basic geometry too much?

If so....let me know

I too would like any input onthis subject.I've thought about putting airbag's inside of the coil's to help this out (the leaning)that is..

I don't know how many miles you guys have, but I had over 200k and my springs were junk. I replace them with the Moog 7226S heavy duties and Bilstein shocks. Raised the front up about 3-4 inches.
If it leans, there was a TSB on that. There is a shim available that goes under the spring on the drivers side, levels the truck out. I didn't bother with that.
Now my rear sits lower than the front. Airbag time! ;-)

The trucks are supposed to be lower in the front to become level after being loaded.

Pete, your fronts were shot; are your rears the same way? Flat leafs arent stronger than arched ones! Kinda like the steel belts showing in your tires arent extra taction.

Dan, well duh! I know they're whipped! I thought I'd add bags to level and help carry the load. ;)

They could raise the rear, but the underlying problem would still exist- flat springs. My D350 sits about 4" higher in the rear than Mom's
