Diff cover with drain plug

Postby RumbleFish » Tue Jan 30, 2007 6:31 pm

I'm looking for a diff cover that has both fill and drain plugs for not much cash. That is why I have ruled out a mag-hytec piece. Anybody install a drain on the stock cover, or where can I find a new one without having to eat ramen noodles for a couple months?

I run one of these ~ http://www.ringpinion.biz/product_info. ... 6ed638c949

Substantially less expensive than the big name stuff. Has fill and drain plugs. Heavy aluminum construction. Girdle supports with heavy external webbing.

A bit over kill perhaps, but it looks kewl. 8)

Hope this helps. :)

You can also drill a hole in your stock cover( low down, naturally), and weld a 1/4NPT bushing on it, and plug it. I have considered doing this for my pickups, but have had other things to do.

For as often as I change my diff oil, the stocker works just fine! I don't mind pulling the cover, that way I can check for metal and other problems while I'm in there.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.
