W250 front brakes

Postby Makaio » Mon Sep 29, 2008 11:12 pm

How are our front brakes set up? Are the rotors and hubs separate or one unit? Looking through the port hole in the rim, the pads are well worn and wearing into the rotor. The guy at NAPA had two listings but didn't know which one to sell/quote me.

Get the 4500lbs front axle rotors.

The rotors are a PITA to change out. You need to take the hub off and tap out the studs. I would put the lug nuts back on until the end of the stud is flush with the top of the nut, put a block of wood on it, and tap it out with a sledge hammer.....

Thanks, Jon. I thought I would be in for something when I look at the diagram on the parts site.
