BLINKER LEVERS BLINKER LEVERS BLINKER LEVERS

Postby Begle1 » Sat Mar 21, 2009 2:15 pm

Is it just me, or do the plastic round blinker lever covers on our first gens crack like crazy?

I've replaced mine twice, they break in the same place every time.

Anybody have a remedy?

(These are the non-cruise control blinker levers that I'm breaking. Can I just put on a cruise control lever instead? Would that make things any better?)

I've never replaced mine. Never saw another one off either. Maybe it's the way you grab it to turn it on or something.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

Maybe it's the sun.

There's a pickapart down here that has a dozen or so Ramchargers and D-150's; every one has a broken blinker lever, in the same place.

What's different between years?

Are all of the later ones cruise control?

What's it look like??

3/4" black tube with a chrome spinny knob on the back? Connects with two screws on the bottom?

3/4" black, tapers to a square where it goes into the column. Wipers are on the handle, no interval. Not sure how it fastens inside. When I had the covers off, I wasn't looking at that. ;-) I'd take a pic, but the camera is in Vegas with the wife. Boy I miss the camera! ;)

Yeah, she's coming back, to stupid to get the hint. When I gave her the check for $1500 for "expenses", I told her to get a sugar daddy or a job.
She'll be back friday.

Telling your wife to "get a job" in Vegas may not be the brightest idea you've had lately.

It will be if she stays there! ;) It's been pretty peaceful around here. Kids have been pretty good, laundry gets done, no toys left scattered on the floor. It's been nice.
