Using the A/C Condenser as a Tranny Cooler?

Postby Begle1 » Sat Feb 24, 2007 11:56 pm

Is it possible to hook the stock A/C condenser into your tranny cooling system? I think I've heard of people doing it?

I haven't taken the time to even look at it, but if possible it'd be a real painless way for us non-A/C types to get some auxiliary tranny cooling.

If the inlet-outlet sizes are the same, I think the entire process would take 4 inches of tubing? And the A/C condenser is about four times the size of the tranny cooler...

Did you stay at a Holiday Inn Express last nite? You got a bunch of ideas this morning! :D
It would probably work, all you would need is the compression fittings and adapters the right size to the cooler.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.
