Braking deaht wobble

Postby VEfreak » Fri Apr 10, 2009 4:17 pm

When I brake between the speeds of 35-45 mph my truck goes into death wobble mode. If the speed falls below 35 it stops and if I accell past 45 it stops. Anybody got an idea of what it is.

Oh, and if I want steering or suspension parts for my truck like a new tie rod or a king pin rebuild kit, where should I get those.

There are a couple options. It could be warped rotors, but I think you would notice it all speeds. If it's not the rotors you need to check your spring and shackle bushings, from there I would check tie rod ends. It could be a wheel out of balance too, or maybe an alignment issue. Any parts store should be able to get you the parts you need.

I got a napa, kragens, and autozone. I'll check the bushings and tie rod ends. The shaking is way to violent to be and out of balance tire. Thanks guys.

I've had similar, and when I rotated the tires it totally stopped. Now it's happening again, about the time I'm due a rotation. It's worth a try, for sure.
