D250 vs 350 hieght diff/ shock suggestions

Postby 1ST(X2) » Thu Apr 30, 2009 5:57 am

My 93 3/4 D250 ton's frame sits considerably higher than the D350.
Same size tires on both. I've noticed this with other 1st gen duallys.

Is there a difference in spring lengths/rates or did my 1 ton just sag that much?

Also, what is a good shock to run on the fronts?

Considering that most part numbers are the same, I'd guess your 350 is just sagging.

I have had good luck with Bilsteins on the fronts. Dont go cheap on front end parts.

I just checked the D250 and it measures about 19" from the front spindle to the edge of the fender opening.

I'll check the D350 as soon as I get it back together and off the jackstands.
