As I understand it the "frame adapters" were supplied by the bed manufacturers. You might want to try and contact them if your bed manufacturer is still in business.

The cab and chassis industry standard was developed between aftermarket bed manufacturers and truck manufacturers around/over 5 decades ago. IIRC, the distance from the back of the cab to the centerline of the rear axle was set at 60 inches. This provided the opportunities for manufacturers to provide a cheaper truck without a bed and a market for a standardized bed starting out at 9 feet in length.

We had a local auto parts store that had a 70's GM straight side pick up truck with a factory 9 foot pick up bed. I believe they added the extra foot at the front of the bed. It was the only factory installed 9 foot pick up bed that I have ever seen.

found out a standard 8' bed seem to have 56" CA (cab to axle) there is also a 60" CA. The box I got is a 108" model. 108" long. The box is 5' by 9' The wheelbase is off about 5" and I have to extend the rear frame rails by 8.5"

Didnt the CC have different length rear overhangs?

I am making my own bed mounts.

So I'm swapping my flatbed for a SRW bed and sliding a newer Dana 70 underneath my 92 D350......
I'd like to switch to half ton springs in the rear with a set of helper bags for when I need to have a lil more support.
Are the spring lengths and mounts the same between the half ton and one ton trucks?

You would probably have to replace the spring eye bushings, 3/4 ton and 1 ton springs have 3/4" or 5/8" eye bolts and the 1/2 ton springs would have 1/2" eye bolts.

It may be useful if someone knowledgeable could confirm if there are any frame parts/measurements are the same for the 1994 & up trucks.

The rear axle spring perches are the same space apart but different width on 1 2nd gen. Hardly any thing else is the same though.

The frame under the cab thru to the rear is the same width.

This made it easy to use 2ndgen hangers and leafs on my 93. Rear bumper likely easy to adapt if you wanted to,
