Anybody have a problem with ford wheels?

Just wondering because I have 2 ford rims on the front of my truck. I had a brake caliper hang up about an hour from home and had no tools, figures huh? So I drove it home, and when I pulled it apart the next day I noticed metal filings on the rim and hub. Then I noticed the lug nuts had been hitting the shoulder on the studs. Not good! So I grabbed one of my spare wheels to compare the two. There is less shoulder on the ford wheel, and the bolt holes are bigger.
I just wondered if anyone else has had a problem like this?

Oh, and now I have to go and paint 2 more rims to match the rest of them, then get the tires swapped around.

I have my snows on Ford rims, rear obviously so I can't help ya Pete. I'll compare them when I get a chance though just for giggles...

Thanks Ross. These have been on the truck for over 8 years, and I never noticed a problem until now. I have a couple more ford rims my FiL gave me, I'm gonna compare those too.

No, they've been rotated, removed for brake jobs, painting, etc.

Actually, I was thinking about it. These are the rims I got with the '89, because I put the new tires on it, then swapped them before I sold it. So these rims have only been on for about 3 years.
I checked the other rims I have, 3 other ford rims I acquired over the years, and 4 dodge rims from the donor truck. The other ford rims have smaller (like standard) bolt holes in them, as do all the dodge rims.
