I got the brakes all done FINALLY! Took it for a test drive and damn near hit my head on the sterring wheel cuz I didn't have a seatbelt on....

I did upgrade to 1ton shoes amd bypassed the ABS valve. DAMN! Feels good to have a truck that feels like it has rear disc's on it!

Have a good one!

I think the bypass of the AntiStop Valve had the biggest influence.

What's the deal with rear discs? The few vehicles I've driven didnt stop as well as a Dodge with no RWAL.

lots of manufacturers will give rear disks a disatdvantage because they dont want the rears to lock up first, thats one thought

I have driven some newer vehicles with rear discs and they stop FAST! Faster then some of the ones I have driven in my short life. The rears lock up about 3-5 seconds after the front from a 40-0 check brake.

I like the brakes on the newer chevy tonners. They stop nice and the e brake holds nice too in each direction. I know they had a bad wrap for a while but they do stop nice. I have never had what I would call good brakes on any of my dodges.

just tody it seems my brake booster is on the fritz it seems to have good brakes but much more force needs be applied to make the beast stop think i might have a dry rotted vaccume line
