In 4x4 apps the lift block in the rear of 89,90, and some 91's was around 4 inches tall. The later W's had a taller block around 6 or so inches. Also some where along the line the spring eye bolts got bigger. My 89 has smaller bolts then my 93. With the increase of lift block size also came multiplied axle wrap.

My 89 has never hopped but my 93 is in need of some traction bars.
