Ran into another road block. Someone needed my radiator and inter cooler more than I did. Anybody have any laying around? I found a radiator in the parts truck I bought but it has a huge patch in it and don't really want to use it. The inter cooler in it has a bunch of pinholes in it and I don't know anywhere around here that repairs them. Parts store wants $300 for a radiator and no dice on the intercooler. I am also going to be replacing some rotted panels ie body mounts and such. Not going to be a quick deal after all.

Upgrade to the power stroke intercooler.

I took your advice Andy. Picked up a stroke intercooler. Also bought some really nice used fenders from a junk yard. I cant believe how nice they are for being in the rust belt. I have actually gotten far enough that i hooked a battery up and got it to turn over on its own after cleaning the starter out and having the alt rebuilt. It slowly coming back together but i have been working on it between working on the tractor and running to get parts for that. hopefully i can get er back on the road before spring!

Little update. Got it fired up Friday. Now I really need a radiator. Anybody have a good source for a new one? Cheapest I have found is rockauto for 250. Would like to use an aluminum radiator but no such luck on that. Could I use a jegs radiator and a separate trans cooler?

Mine the trans cooler is desperate on. I believe RCCummins can get these. The cheapest radiator I found local was $450 when I needed one and they were very cheaply made.

I've used some summit brand radiators in a few V8 S10s and found them ok in quality. Probably the same stuff at jegs,it's all pretty thin stuff anyhow. They did however keep the temps cool, even as small as they were to fit in those trucks.

As far as a cooler for the trans, you want nothing short of a plate style. Not the finned tubing cheapo units. Those work on gas trash ok but not on this heavier stuff.

I'm doing away with my cooler behind the grill and going to run my big cooler when I switch fuel tanks. I have nowhere to put my big cooler right now.

Got some more done tonight. Got the inner and outer fenders cleaned and painted. Got the core support in and the ps intercooler almost done. Thinking about buying a complete cooler and fan for the trans. Not sure what I was thinking before. Need to order a radiator. Anybody have any ideas where I could get a v band clamp for the exhaust?

Ok since I'm getting closer to driving the ol girl I'm wanting to do so e upgrades. Before teardown the truck had a rough cold start up. Long story short the injectors need work. Is it worth while to have mine sent off and have bigger holes poked or am I better off to just buy a set. Would like 5x16 or 6x18. Something Big. Buy once cry once. Then I need to buy a turbo to support the fuel. I have no idea on what to do here. Would much rather have one single charger and not compounds. From there I need to know where to go with he trans. I know I should do it first but the injectors need attention now and while I'm there I should push more air. Ideas? Comments? I'm an idiot? FYI this is just a play truck and very very minimal towing of anything.

Maybe I missed this and it is taken care of, but do you still need rear helper springs? I have a set on my 93 D350 that I'll probably be taking off eventually and will be available. I'm near 70 and 75 down by Dayton.

5x20 injectors, then buy up 6 more H1c's and do a 4-2-1 turbo setup. Easy and cheap. 8)

366 spring installed tonight. Gonna bump the timing to the head tomorrow night and start hanging the nose back on. I think I have decided to have my injectors rebuilt to a 5x14 but unsure of a turbo. Would like to stay below $1k. Wanting enough air for the injectors and as little lag as possible. I found a 62 65 12 for $750 but I'm not sure if this would be a good match or not. Also thanks to Eric for the quick shipping on the 366 spring.

Rebuild your injectors to a 5x14? What do you have now? A 62/65/12 is a good all around charger for a daily driver/performance 1st gen. So if you can find a non abused/grenaded used one at an affordable price, by all means jump on it.
