Also did the brake performance. Have had them on the DD for a year or so now. Love them! So far no warming either.

I went slotted and dimpled with their upgraded pads.

Finally got around to installing the rear. Man, the stock ones that were on the car were worse than I expected. The car drives a lot smoother now which I attribute to the stock rotors having a good amount of rust build up throwing off the balance. I'm happy now :)

What are you guys running for the front from BrakePerformance.com? I'm not sure if I should stick with the slotted rotors or go with the slotted and dimpled rotors.

I just priced these again, and the discount code, (1gdodg), is still good. It took $5 off. I think I'm going to be ordering a set of slotted rotors in the next week or so for the '97, it stops like siht!

There is a reason GT and F1 touring cars have solid steel rotors...

I think you mean solid carbon ceramic rotors, Jon. A little bit of difference between the materials, mostly being that CC take and shed heat like a mofo and steel does not.

I know one just had s rules change for 2013. Point being, solid rotors have more surface area for better stopping powers. Upgrade pads but the rotors are fine

My rotors suck. :P

Personally I would just get slotted rotors if there was an option. I've heard a lot of stories of drilled rotors developing cracks at the holes. If they cost the same as a normal, solid rotor, you'd be a fool to get a normal rotor. There's nothing wrong with being able to get rid of some extra heat from your brakes.

I'm in a delemma here. I can get a set of stockers for $80, or the slotted ones for $150. The stockers on it are still thick, but have rust grooves in them that eat the pad off before it can do anything. They can't be turned because they go on the unit bearing from the back side, they can't turn them either on the bearing, or off because they have a large cloverleaf shaped hole the bearing goes thru. The ones on it are only 2 years and old junk from the rust. I hate taking this POS apart, and don't want to do this again for a while. I also don't have a lot of money to spend on it.
Any input you guys give would be appreciated.

Pete, can you take your truck to a repair shop that has the machine that can turn rotors on the truck?

I'm more concerned about the rust, and wondering if these rotors will hold up better than the stockers.
Jon, I'm not getting the drilled ones so no worries there.
Ike, I did have that thought, but I think they will just rust again and I'll be in the same boat.
Ellis, Caleb is right, they are for the '97, it's a 4X4.
