I complained that us 1st genners got kicked to the curb because they re-organized the forum listings and stuck us in the back. Someone mentioned this site, and the thread exploded!!!! Membership is going to go crazy tonight..

Guys, I gotta ask you to stop sending unsolicited PM's on DTR. Some people have gotten several PM's about this site in their inbox and that's spam. You don't like spam in your email so please don't do it to other people.

Almost all of my PM's have been unsolicited questions, and I got turned on to this site by an unsolicited PM..... How do you draw the line?

Most PM's I get are unsolicited, too.

It's not the unsolicited part that's a problem, it's the advertising.

We used to have a lot of vendors join up who would watch the boards, and when somebody would post about wanting more power, he'd find himself with 10 pm's in his inbox from guys trying to sell him crap. And a lot of times it was stupid stuff, like trying to sell an Edge EZ to a guy with a 12 valve. Really annoying. So the line was drawn at the advertising. If you are advertising something (parts, website, porn, whatever) you can't use the PM system to do it.

I'm hip to that. I just didn't understand how it applied to sending 1st gen guys the link to this board, that's all. I meant no disrespect at all.
