Great idea. I think I'll do it to Mom's pickup when we swap for me to get a front end alignment. (Cant get a good one here in Cape G; sending it back to the swamp to get aligned).

I've seen threads posted on how to put in a potentiometer, you can dial it to where you want it to shift. Seems to make life easier, and be the hot ticket! ;)

DP, I get a kick out of "back to the swamp"! :cyclopsani:

Dodge diesel

Postby Dodge Diesel » Mon Feb 11, 2008 5:48 pm

I have a 1993 dodge diesel turbo automatic 4x4. Does it improve your gas milage. I just bought a new TPS which cost 416 dollars I wish I knew this before but I might change it anyway it will be alot better. I need a fuel element if you know where there is any. It goes above your fuel filter it about the same diamter and is about inch thick with a plug on the end Thanks for the good information

    :o

wow, thats alot of money, i still have a good one, for cheap if you want to return that one  :o

i realy like it, because you can change when the tranny goes in to OD, so when your cruzin at 80km or 55mile i think it is, you only spin 1400 or 1500 rpms

so ya it does help on fuel econ

These will work on a gas rig too? My nephew's '96-98 Ram maybe having problems.

I bet not. On a diesel it tells the trans when to shift.
On a gasser, it tells the 'puter how much the plate is open and to fuel accordingly.
This is the short simple version. ;)

The # 271-1720 is an audio potentiometer and not really the best choice for this application.

The # 271-1714 is a LINEAR potentiometer and the better choice. ;)

Has anyone used these connectors? 276-1427? Because when I pull it up it shows a 9 pin connector, that I have never seen on my dodge lol
