Decided to install a basic air system (with train horns!) to support some ARB lockers

Is there room for that air tank to be placed where the spare tire is ? I just need an air tank for airing my tires up after off roading.

This particular tank is about three feet long IIRC, so I doubt it. But there's endless shapes and sizes of air tanks out there so I'm sure you could find someting that will go in that space without too much trouble.

This isn't pertaining to your original post but i was looking at all of your photos (which by the way you have a damn good looking first gen) and I saw you had an hx40 and I was just curious where ya got it, around what ya paid and how it performs over stock. Thanks

I use a York style compressor that is driven off of the alternator pulley.

Is there many compressors that could be mounted in the bed and then kick on and off periodically? I would like to get into some off roading and would like to run on board air.

Daniel, Viar makes some nice compressors that you can mount most anyplace. That's what I have stuffed down in the front fender on my truck. Just make sure you have a heavy gauge wire to feed it.

Is that something that I could mount in the bed next to like a 100 psi tank and keep the tank full all the time. Also, would it be able to support running air tools and inflate 40ish inch tires?

Alright, thanks Andy. I got on there and found kinda what I am looking for, but how do ya find prices and such on their website? And it looks like the contact page is for becoming a dealer.

Google knows everything! They asked us at work about how we deal with all the new technology on new equipment without proper maintenance training...they thought we were joking when we said "Google"...we weren't ;)
