Heater line cover

Postby 92 D/UNIT » Thu Jan 04, 2007 9:50 pm

i dont know about you guys but im always trying to find or think of ways to make the eng compartment look a little better, built this heater line cover out of 14 ga. scrape that already had a brake in it so all i had to do was measure cut drill and paint. wish it was chrome, would like to come up with a way to cover the exh. manifold. any ideas?

don't worry about chrome that will rust anyway. after you get your final build done then buy a sheet of thin stainless(not as costly as you think) and make one from that. you could always polish it a bit if needed, but as long as you don't beat it up in the benders it will look real nice. there is a guy at the Englishtown swap meets in Nj that is always selling half or quarter sheets ?? of POLISHED stainless cheap. crossy

I was thinking about doing the same thing, but for the purpose of getting better cab heat. Have you noticed better heater performance?
