One can replace the bearing only on the throwout bearing assembly instead of buying a complete (expensive) assembly. The part number on the original bearing says Aetna (which I believe is the manufacturer) A-2256-1. My local bearing supply crossed it to a BCA 2065, at least that was it says on the receipt. Price was $30.47. Complete assembly from NAPA is ~$98.49.
