Dealer installed tach part #

Postby ggreenall90 » Sat Oct 03, 2015 12:47 pm

Can someone get me the part # for the dealer installed tach? Was there an 89-91 and 91.5-93 model?
Thanks

From my understanding the early 89-90 and early 91 did not have a tach available? 91.5's used a separate harness and supplied CPS to work with the Tach. The 92-93 had the tach harness incorporated into the factory wiring, and as Val mentioned only required a simple plug in to harness to work.

I've heard of the plug ends being different. There was a tach available for an 89-91 as I've found some trucks for sale with tachs in them. If anyone knows of an 89-91 tach for sale please let me know. Thanks for your help guys!

I had a 91.0 with a factory tach. Id guess it was dealer installed. Iirc there was a kit that came with a CPS and harness and everything to get it to work.
I could've left it stock...but why?
