Center link/adjusting sleeve?

Postby DieselSharker » Thu Jul 22, 2010 10:41 am

Found out the center link on my front end is bent so I ordered the Moog part# that was on Logan's part list. Got it in the mail and it's the wrong one. I did some research on the O'Reilly's site (because most of their online parts give you dimensions) and come to find out the tie rod ends for that tube are for the 3500# axle. It has 3/4-18 threads. The tie rods for the 4500# axle are 7/8-18. This rod has tapered ends to go to the smaller rods and the bar on my truck isn't tapered. Problem is, I can't find a part number anywhere for a center link/adjusting sleeve for a 4500# Dana 60. Any ideas?

I know Dan I looked when I found out about it but this is what is listed as a "Center Link"

And the part listed as a tie rod adjusting sleeve is $16.00 so that's not right. Seems like they are listing D250 parts under W250.

This is what I got when I ordered the Moog part listed:

The threads on it are for 3500# tie rod ends. That one is tapered for the smaller rod ends where mine is the same all the way across for the bigger ends.

The latter pic is what I saw on Rock Auto.

Be nice if one could find some spring steel tubing in the right size and have the last 2" on each end threaded out.
