Dyno Baseline...

Postby blk_smoke » Mon May 16, 2011 5:33 pm

So I went to the TNE Diesel all Diesel Truck Dyno Day to get a baseline on the ol truck.

after a few runs i got 185hp and 443ft/lbs of torque. not bad for just haveing the pump maxed out and a 3200 spring.

unfortunatly I did however burst the fuel solenoid and now the truck wont shut off by key... this happen to anyone else?

It's apparently a pretty common thing to have happen, with a turned up pump anyways.

Probably shouldn't make a habit of chipping them up, as they can clog up your DVs. I'd say convert to the cable shut-off club if you gotta keep your pump maxed, or grab some injectors and back the pump off some to make life easier on the poor plunger.

Running larger injectors will fix that. If you're into it. ;)

Pull cable is the only way to go, great theft deterrent too.
