Owned it for 2 days and pulled tonight!

Postby oldestof11 » Sat Aug 27, 2011 10:05 pm

Yep, I pulled tonight. Weighed in at 5950 with 1/4 tank of fuel. Signed up for 8K pound street diesel. They paid the top 5. I got fourth!

I made $25 tonight. Check was $65. I paid $20 to hook and $20 in fuel to get to and from there.

I tried 3rd low moved it about 6" and started smoking the clutch. Got out of it and put it in 2nd. After I got over the shock of moving the sled, took about 100ft to realize that, I started turning the steering wheel and aiming for fresher track. Got 266.2ft. What beat me was a 08 Ford crew cab long bed with a tuner, a Dmax trailered in (broke the rear about 50ft out but still got 280ft), and a built P-pumper. I beat a Ford 7.3, 2 other p-pumpers, and a VP that broke the D80 yoke.

Here is the video:

Happy nothing broke!

DennyT II pin, tweaked rebuilt IP from Scheids, rebuilt injectors, and a strong inkling the "stock" clutch is really a SBC... It holds waaaay too well... Scheid put it in when they did the sticks, pump, and KDP.

I aint even made the 1st payment!

I think 1 or 2 times a year is all I am gonna do. I think for its weight, power, and tires, it should run good and not have a lot of issues.
