Need drive shaft advice

Postby motorwood » Sat Sep 17, 2011 6:22 am

The War Wagon finally broke last night. U-joint at back of trans let go, then the front CV joint got real loud and loose and loud front wheel driving it home. Looking for suggestions on u-joint sizing, ect. I have a little more tq and HP than my sig, and it hooks well. My thoughts are 1350cv joint 1410 d60 and something big in the rear.

If your still running the D70 and don't plan to stick a D80 in it I'd leave the driveshaft the weak link or next time it will be a shattered pinion & ring gear. I'd find a D80 and upgrade to 1480 series joints personally.

I kinda like the idea of u joints being the weak link. I think I'm gonna put stock sized solid joints and see how they hold.
