It just seems they always question the "fuel only" numbers. He built it for the use of N2O and has effectively did that.

Wow, I guess I should have found this thread sooner, since y'all have so much to say about me... :D

First of all, thanks for the congrats, and second of all, no I didn't back up the numbers, cause at 1,800 lb-ft, I am likely to blow something up. So if I make that same power number again, STOMP is going to be there with his truck. It's all in good fun, but we do have a little competition going here.

Second, the truck at 60psi made 447 on fuel with no intercooler, which I think is pretty good, and with a 5,000 pound curb weight, it's good for showing up 350Z's and Challengers and stuff on the freeway. Any more hp on the road would just get me in trouble.

Third, why is my truck useless? It smokes when cold and on full throttle, but I can still drive it down the highway at 65mph and get 24-28mpg, which is a lot better than most of the trucks on here. The last time I took a 1,000 mile round-trip drive to northern california, I took my 1st gen, because even with the manual valvebody and low-rpm smoke, it still got almost 10mpg better than my 95 4x4.

The point of the build was to push the boundries of the VE and make new HP goals for people, and I think I've done a good job. Would anyone would have guessed 25mpg with 5x25 injectors? I wouldn't have. Creativity is key here.

I'm pretty much done with the truck other than dynoing against STOMP, getting a good dragstrip time, and getting it painted, but I have half a mind to stick my 115mm Procharger on there if you guys keep riding me about my "fuel only" numbers. Anyways, thanks for all the de-structive criticism

Now that is pushing the boundaries of the VE. Put that low RPM fuel to work. 8)

Is a procharger centrifugal or Roots-style? You gotta get a nice-sized roots and throw on there.

Ok, this one is just for you guys.....you can clearly see how I am smoking out all the lanes behind me with my unstreetable combination of parts
This was taken on a 5% grade at 55mph, in 3rd gear with the converter locked. Elevation was approx. 3,000 feet. Now I know I'm not towing a 10,000 pound trailer, but I have known a lot of trucks that smoke way worse than this, with a lot less done to 'em.

I feel I must clarify my earlier comment. When posted, I was thinking the truck wasn't daily driver friendly with the huge injectors and the NAWZ switched off.

But then I've never tried to work with such a combination either. NO ill-will intended. ;)

Regardless, the numbers are there so good on ya. 8)

It really shouldn't be that streetable, but it kinda is.....the manual valvebody is the biggest pain.

Regardless, I do drive it on the street, and without smoke if need-be. Hopefully soon I can take it to the track, where my goal is
to run faster than a 12.81 at 101mph

Just kiddin BC. :D
