Unlikely, if the other car didn't break or back out. He had him by 3 tenths at the 1/8 mile. Reaction time has no effect on elapsed time.

1st run of the day. . . . . .. Itchy-finger, trigger-butt kinda thing.

Yeah, the other guy was much faster hands-down (and maybe 2 tons lighter  ).

Ran the Dually this weekend.

My fastest was a blistering 18.23, I guess thats not to bad for a fairly stock 6800lb 5spd truck.

It is a start!

How do you like racing compared to pulling?

Wow! I'm glad somebody is slower than me! The sad part is I had a lot of stuff done when I ran.

I love drag racing, were gonna run the 90 in the next month or so. I'm hoping for mid 14s

All thats done to the dually is a DennyT, a few twists of the screw, and a 366, oh and a 12cm and 4" exhaust.

I was actually faster than a stripper D250, However he wants me to do a tune up on it.

Made 5 passes today. Around 45 to 50° today. My best pass was my first. 15.58@89mph. My 1/8 mile numbers were 9.7 and i think 65mph? Have to look.

2nd run i get going in 3rd when there was a sizeable pop and the truck nose dived. Thought i blew a u-joint. Get back to the pits and check everything out. Nothing. Found out in my next run that a naturally appeared Cummins can run 24 second down the strip at 58 mph. Blew the boot right after the intercooler.

Lost in the brackets 1st round when i missed 3rd and ran 16.8 on a 15.6 dial.

I did an 1/8 mile run with my w250 a few weeks ago, with an android phone. Supposedly it did the 1/8 in 11.43 at 73 mph. I weighed it right before I did it, 7320 lbs. Launched at 3 psi, manually shifted, never touched lock up or OD.

I think that 47RH / 3.07 rear-end combo is messing with you.

If that were my truck, I'd lose at least 700lbs and approach the line in 4WD (for the entire pass), build up 10psig boost and let 'er rip in drive with the overdrive locked out.

* You'd do well to get on a dyno so as to see where your power band is RPM wise. With that, make sure your trans is gonna shift, fitting the power band.
* Being a 47RH, you've got the option of locking the converter as it hits 2nd gear and stay locked from then on . . . . but if you don't have a billet/alloy input-shaft then, . . . . . forget this entire sentence.

It does still have 3 turns left on the fuel screw, stock injectors, factory gov spring with 4 coils cut off, and a (im assuming) dead LP. Was making 30 psi max on that run with the BHAF, makes 32 now with a K@N. I also switched to 245/75/16 tires, huge improvement over the 285's. Goes 100 kms farther on a tank of fuel, OD is actually usable on the highway now without getting speeding tickets. Was going to do another run, but started sucking the filter dry. Getting a couple of new filters next week, might try again. Oh, and the converter wont lock till third, and can barely hold 15--20 psi locked. Factory tc sucks.
