First pull with twins

Postby motorwood » Sat May 19, 2012 6:28 am

I'm pulling tonight with an hx60 over a 366. Should be very interesting. I think it's gonna do well or break, can't wait to feel 80lbs boost while hooked to a sled. :)

Motorwood, You've got me thinking about how long my input will stay alive above 400HP...I hope it does....

Edit... when they do twist, will the clutch stay engaged because it cant slide back on the input?

It will break in the splines most likely. The plate(s) will stay put other than the splines may mis-align. So if your clutch pedal won't push, forcing it (to activate the safety switch to start the truck) will bend the disk(s). If you keep your foot out of it below 2000 rpm and don't dump the clutch, it may last a long time.

Cool stuff, Motorwood!

How'd you place with a pull like that? I figure to get much past that they'd be pulling the sled around the parking lot.
