Well I haven't had the chance to make a 1/4 mile run yet, but I do have a little info. I raced my roommate's Mazda rotary and it runs a 15.5. We raced 3 or 4 times in a row, from a stand still everytime so we could get a good average of how much I beat him by everytime :D The average came out to be about 2.5 car lengths so I figure my super dodge runs real low 15's and might break into 14 territory if the conditions were perfect and I got a perfect start etc....

Assuming it keeps accelerating at about the same rate that is about a 14.5 in the 1/4.

Thanks Brian, that's promising, considering I haven't done much to this truck and the possibilities.

My best 1/4 time is 13.8 @ 94 mph. 60 ft time was 1.8. Then I broke the input shaft to the 205 transfer case. That 1/4 mile time was about 10 minutes. :D

4 wheel drive does help KTA. If I try to launch in 2 wheel drive I just sit there in a cloud of smoke looking stupid. :?

Best time so far is a 15.1 at 89mph but my 2wd duallie smokes the tires for about 100ft. Still working on my launches. I need a locker for starters and then I may ba able to launch at over 10psi without melting the tires. My pathetic 60ft times are consistantly around 2.3sec.

ps - that formula works for 7 second cars, 10 second cars, but i dont know about 15 second trucks...

these 1st gen's are so un aero it isnt funny

that extra drag might drop it closer to 1.7

still, that is a quick stock truck!

I think 1/8 mile time x 1.6 is good for auto trucks. Most of my timeslips work out to 1.56-1.57.
Wish I could get down to a 1.8 60 foot. I would be down to 13 flat. Best is 1.95.
