its a crappy local sled, they are building a transfer sled now, was actually supposed to use the transfer sled this weekend, but they had some hydraulic issues.

the funny part about this sled/track, is it was not about wheel speed/ HP likc most transfer sleds are. this "drop sled" was totally about suspention setup and traction. the guy who placed 3rd in both workstock and 2.6 was a 92 1stgen with a stock a518, "ground fuel pin and no AFC" .... (yeah....I know).... but that truck just dug and dug and dragged that sled at about .00005 MPH all 3oo feet.

he dragged every load they could give him, and they ended up judgin the pull by time as well, because the two guys with twin turbo Dmax's (and one with a 7.1 stroker) were getting beat by a beater flatbed 92 dodge :)

When you pull next, max air in the rears and low air in the front.

thats exactly what I did, I was still 800lbs under weight though.

i think it was a weird sled to judge the trucks performance by. but it was still fun.

Well, I made another hook this weekend.

The shackle flip helped but I still have a few chassis issues to get figured out..

Yep, 3rd low is my gear of choice, but with 4.56's and a 3850DD its a little easier at 5300 RPM.
