Postby 92cummins89 » Sat Nov 16, 2013 12:27 am

Heard tht a non ic cummins produces more hp an two than a ic cummins but it can't hold the power cuz it over heats
Any truth to tht doesn't seem right

Non-IC trucks have hotter fuel systems, making them slightly more desirable at near stock levels.

They also have a down flow radiator compared to a cross flow in the later trucks. I've never pulled over to cool down, but I kick in my fan more than I'd like since I stuffed an intercooler in front of the radiator.

They run better stock and can be turned up more on stock components. They also have wider piston bowls allowing more timing to be added.

I think the IC cooling system is probably much better than the older stuff. I see no reason why it wouldn't be.

Also not ic will have less turbo lag because it doesn't have to shove it through a inter cooler. I personally don't see a need for an ic but I don't tow anything real heavy I just keep an eye on my egt.
