They do the same thing with the bhaf on the inner fender. Just build a sheet metal heat shield that comes close to the hood so it picks up air from the hole in the fender like stock.

I don't know how much anybody really gets from the air filters anyways. It's holy war III if you ask what one's best, but for a temporary solution I'd just pick up an OEM assembly the somebody has laying around after they went to an aftermarket assembly...

2nd gen intakes are very restrictive. Dad has had a k&n drop in since the first one got dirty in 94. 400,000 and still rippin. Sucks the filter minder into the red with about 320 hp though.
That intake looks pretty good though.

thats what mine has now, the drop in. yea, the whole design kinda sucks. the little plastic deal that is posed to seal the box to the fender keeps falling into the box. lol. is that pc still in your dads or did you guys gut that whole passenger side of the box out?

and thanks, dont think pete liked it...

i think it looks pretty neat. seen one on a truck before. the thing is pretty huge

its a fool and his money and you have no room to talk. if your truck is really makin almost 400 hp there are prolly some parts on it that you gave 500% what they were worth. just the way it works...

if you want to go 8 seconds in the quarter i can get you there for under 10 grand. and you can race it every other weekend all year long for almost nothing

 I couldn't resist poking you for that. We all do what we have to. ;)

The thing I spent the most money on was the Stage IV turbo kit. $325 and shipping. The 370's were only $200, used by a buddy for 1 month. I spent more money on guages than I did on the injectors.

No everything is stock and have had no problems with his. My 96 has my stock first gen air filter on it with a washable replacment. Took it out of the first gen housing, drove out the steel bushing and sliped the stock second gen hose on it. It just hangs out on the inner fender. Droped about 75 degrees and made the turbo louder.

no worries pete - figured you were just screwing around

does that truck only have one batt?

thinking about moving pass side (or both) to the bed

these things dont have room under the hood like a first gen, thats for sure...
