First time drag racing!

I went out to the local track and made a couple passes last night in the 1/4. The best I was able to do was a 15.8 @ 87. That was leaving around 1k rpm and rollin onto the power, if I left any harder it would just spin. Without a tack and being to afraid of tranny carnage to launch in 4x4 made it tricky to put down a good run but I still had a lot of fun, and I smoked my buddies big pretty power stroke! My best 60' time was 2.4, 1/8 was 10.2 @ 71.3, 1/4 was 15.8 @ 87.2. Schandler was also their. His clutch didn't like his 4x4 launch though. His best racin me was 16.9 @ 81.06, I don't know if he was able to put up a better number before his clutch started slippin. Here's a video of our first passes. I spun pretty good leavin on this one and olny ran a 16.2, my 60' time was 2.79  I'm in the far lane in the silver truck and Schandler is in the near lane in the red and silver truck.

Launch it in 4wheel drive. My 727 held up just fine, and that was with 35 in tires. I would build about 5 to 10lbs of boost then launch it :D :D.

I'm really concerned about my getrag being able to take it. My clutch should be up to the task though, it's a con ofe. My getrag has some slop in it when I get on or off the throttle, I've checked the U-joints and the rear end for play and I'm pretty certain its in the tranny.

The first pass was the quickest. My second pass was an example of how not to launch (almost killed it at the light  ) and was an 18.2 at 80.7mph. The third pass was better starting off (.264 r/t with a 2.439 60 foot) but the tach never came off of 3000 rpm the entire way down the track. Ended up with a 17.921 at 69.96mph for the third and final pass of the night. I need more clutch before I go back to the track  . The first two passes exhibited some minor clutch slippage, but the final pass was slipping almost the entire time.
