what type of dyno was it on? mustang or dynojet? the mustang will put out lower #s not sure why. when i dynoed mine on a dynojet with mods and inj simular to yours it did 271/704 in od torque #s go up a bit in od, so you might be about right if you were on a mustang and in drive.

If the pump's not cranked up a lot that doesn't sound bad.

Looks good for your mods. That auto is sucking up a lot of power--torque, specifically. You'd prolly be closer to 650 TQ with a more efficient tranny. That's where I'd spend my next $$$ if I were you.

It was Dave Dunbar. Its a portable dyno, drive-on forward.
My fuel screw is in about 2 1/4 turns. Dynoed in drive.
Thanks Tommy

What exh housing do you have? Your hp looks about right but the torque seems low. I recently dynoed my 93 with a stock 12mm pump maxed, 370tips in VE bodies, 4" exhaust with muffler, stock air filter, hx40/16cm. It made 290rwhp@2200rpm and 805ftlbs of torgue at 1700rpm. I am thinking of throwing my old CDS injectors in to try to get it closer to the 350rwhp mark and maybe pic the mileage up some, truck averages 16.5mpg running 65-75 most of the time @8000lb. I would like to get that up to about 18mpg. I havent figured out yet though how I can keep my egt's in check with the bigger nozzles. Currently this truck usually grosses 24000lb and egt's are toasty but liveable. I figure if I take it to 350rwhp my egt's are going to be 1500deg again instead of 1300. Oh well that would just mean more right foot driving. 8)

It's an 18cm. what would sugest for big single and injectors? no towing just dyno and drag, maybe pulling-playing.

Depends on how much power you want and how much you want to spend.

  Boy ain't this the truth. Time for a 4" turbo and some big EDM's.

Your numbers sound about right. You dynoed on the one and only official dynojet. It's not official unless you dyno on Dave's dyno :D . The numbers in my sig were from Dave's dyno.

ARE DDP #4'S BIG ENOUGH FOR A SP66? WOULD THIS PAIR DO IT?
400HP OR BETTER?

I don't know much of anything about dd4's. I would listen to what Brian has to say about choosing a hot set of injectors for dyno/drag/play. BTW a sp66 if I had to guess would be a little big for a truck with a stock 12mm pump. Even with my 14mm pump it's probly too big. I think a 62 or 64 with the bigger turbine wheel would be a better choice. I think HTT is now calling them different names, some have the small turbine wheel and some big. My 66 has a 64mm turbine wheel IIRC.

400+ rwhp is a tall order on a 12mm VE. To my knowledge only Stomp and I have done it with a single turbo. I made 488rwhp with a B-1 and Jeremy was like 420rwhp with a Hx40. Both trucks had custom big sticks to do it. You may contact Jeremy about the DDP4's as I think he had a set but they didnt make as much power as his old injectors. I think Bill is right on the turbo for a street 400hp truck I would go with the big turbine 62 or 64mm s300 series. Of course a super40 holset can make about the same power for about half the coin but they dont quite spool as good and run about 100deg more egt. I have a set of injectors listed in the classifieds here that are easily capable of making well over 450rwhp with a 12mm pump if your interested, but they are more coin than 1st gen guys want to spend usually. You can get a set made by scheid that will make about 75rwhp less for just under $1000. Josh at DPS also has custom injectors made for these trucks, but I havent seen them make the kind of power I expected them to, so perhaps ya get what ya pay for.

BILL,BRIAN(KTA):Thanks for all the input.I think Ill look for a hx 40 or a used hx35 that I could upgrade. I def need to decide how far I want to go with the ve.
(you know I have all the stuff for a P pump) its pretty clear the limits of the ve without spending more than its worth. Thought about swaping tips from a set of 2nd gen p pump injectors (cheaper and more choices).
If you think of anything (sugetions) for my needs please pm or add to this thread.
BOOM What would I use a hx50 no w/g for (I have one) the ex housing is 28 cm. too big for anything other than a door stop?

You could get an Hx40 exhaust housing and machine it to fit the HX50. That makes it a useable turbo, but its laggy as all get out but will support big hp. Maybe you could find someone with a HX40 wanting to trade. I think I saw a super40 on the bay for $500 buy it now the other day.
