Industrial Injection Turbo?

Postby ryanihf250 » Thu Sep 18, 2008 2:27 am

Has anyone tried Industrial Injection Turbo on there 1st Gen. I am thinking about the phat shaft 66 for the street pull truck now. Wonder what modifications would be needed to install it besides the HX-40 downpipe.

The down pipe is all that needs to be modified. I run a sps62 on my truck and i cant say a bad thing about it.

I am running the BD Super B Special (64/71/14) and can spool it like a stock turbo or better. Aside from what JAyers mentioned you better have some custom EDM sticks and a 14mm h/r. I am trying to upgrade mine to a 66mm wheel so if it gets done I will post some results. I gotta say the 64mm turbo is AWSOME. I can spool it to the wategate setting (45psi) in about 1-2seconds and it sounds EVIL. My cruising EGT's are up 150deg to 800@65mph but my WOT playing EGT's are down. It is hard to compare because I did a lot of mods since my last turbo. (cam, edm sticks, IP, etc.)

Appreciate the advice. I ordered the Industrial Injection Super Phat Shaft 66 on Thursday. All of it should be in on Thursday and we have a pull on Saturday to try it out. From what few of the distrubutors tell me I should have no problem spooling it with the 435's, NOS, and SB Pulling clutch. I didn't want to get a turbo that I will outgrow soon.
