I wish we could get a VE truck in the 12's on fuel only, but still it's pretty impressive.

I will throw some numbers at you.

Most autos will get into the 12s if they can trap 102 mph.
A manual will need 2-4 more mph to do the same.
Elevens are a different story. I think most autos need 112 and a manual will probably need 116-119 mph.

Here is the FLYWHEEL hp needed to trap these speeds at this weight. I think my rwhp is 15% less than crank hp. An auto may be different.
5000 lbs (includes driver): 90mph=284 hp; 95mph=335; 100mph=390; 105mph=452; 110mph=519; 115mph=593.

6000 lbs: 90mph=341; 95mph=401; 100mph=468; 105mph=542; 110=623; 115mph=712.

7000 lbs: 90mph=398; 95mph=468; 100mph=546; 105mph=632; 110mph=727; 115mph=831

Brian; what did your truck weigh when you went 110? 6900?

My truck wieghed 6500 when I went ALMOST 104 which = 570.

If the Scheid dragster weighs 2000 lbs (I bet it's more) it takes 1305 hp to go 203 in the 1/4.
If it wieghs 2250 @ 203 mph = 1468 hp.

My truck usually scales just shy of 7300 with me in it. I probably had a half tank of fuel that day so I might have been in the 7150-7250lb range.

Damn Brian... Imagine what that engine could do in a "light" reg cab 4wd with a 47RH behind it!

COWABUNGA FOLKS!

That's 742 hp at 7150 lbs.

Project "Rusty nitrous bucket" @ 5000 lbs could do a 11.00 @ 124!!!!!

On diesel only no less.

Another question Brian. I'm curious if your 110 mph run was the same run when you did 93.6 in the 1/8.
If so you must have broke or something because you should have trapped around 115 mph. No?

They were not the same runs, but typically it would run 91-93 mph in the 1/8. I suspect there is considerable wind drag at 110 so it probably is holding it back pretty good on top end. I drove my crew cab on the scales last night and it only weighed 5300lbs no driver. I thought to myself wow if I could ever get took off this thing would be fast with the motor out of old yellow.
