I thought your HG was on borrowed time. How long did you run it with 60lbs of boost?

I know you have the fuel to support 700 hp, but do you really think you got the air? HX40 with the 60 isn't what i would call an undersized setup, but i don't know if it is enough. But i think a 64/71 with an HX60 could push some boost, especially with an air to water intercooler and cam. But i hope the best for ya. I would love to see the first gen crowd get a shot of adrenaline with the news of someone breaking 700 ponies.

the ht60 is a huge turbo, and there is more then enough air to make the power. Its bigger then a GT42 witch has been proven to make well over 800hp. An ht60 is rated at 980 racing hp so i think its fine.

He's not even gonna make 500hp unless he adds an intercooler, air to air or to water. Lot's of hot air does not equal HP.

Its easy to through thoughts out there like that, but can you back it up with proof is the question? Or give a reason for saying it.
Reason being is the biggest hp trucks and dragsters don't run IC.
And with twins it runs very cool, now i haven't had a really good testing with the new pump mods or the new injectors, but it didn't seem to run much hotter. And before i was max 1200f full out.

I know the cooler the air the more hp but what considered the best temp.

The best temp is real freakin cold. Most drag races that happen in the 50-55deg Fahrenheit range tend to make record runs. Also look at the 1000+hp common rails, they all have intercoolers and most are huge after market units. At this point CK you have proved nothing and said lots. Back up what you have already said and some may start to believe. At this point I know I sure dont. Sorry.

CK I wasn't tryin to put you down, just pointing out a fact.

The high HP pullers and racers are not just blowing hot air with no IC. They're cooling it in some way, be it spray or water.

Oh I forgot to mention you're still running a non-lockup convertor hehe! Good luck on the 700hp though, really. We need someone to knock kta off his horse hehe!

I don't think anyone here is trying to put him down, they were all just stating their opinions and trying to help him.

are you sure? bgilbert has a 500+ hp VE powered truck. im guessing he knows a thing or two about making power.

i doubt that you'll see 700hp from a non-lockup trans and lacking an ic. but im not coming close to what he is doing, so what do i know?
